About the Artwork
Lake Haze – Yellow captures the emotional essence of landscape through abstraction, color, and movement. Drawing inspiration from lakes, skies, and shifting light, this limited edition canvas print reflects Ken Elliott’s signature approach to simplifying and exaggerating nature rather than recreating it. The result is a vibrant, contemplative piece that brings warmth, depth, and painterly energy to your space.

About the Artist: Ken Elliott
Ken Elliott is an abstract landscape artist based in Colorado, with work held in private collections around the world. His painting Light Moving Across is part of the U.S. Department of State’s Art in Embassies program and is currently displayed in an American Embassy abroad.
With over 40 years in the art world, Elliott’s career began as a picture framer and art restorer before evolving into art dealing and, ultimately, painting. His deep exposure to historic and contemporary works has shaped a practice rooted in craftsmanship, experimentation, and a profound understanding of what makes a compelling art object.
Artist Statement
Ken Elliott’s work is inspired by the natural world, particularly trees, water, skies, and their endless variations. Rather than depicting specific places, his paintings are abstracted interpretations that rely on bold color, mark-making, and composition.
Embracing spontaneity and imperfection, Elliott allows unexpected moments and so-called mistakes to guide the evolution of each piece. His process is non-linear, often involving multiple works in progress that inform one another. Alongside painting, he explores monotypes, etchings, and collage, using these mediums to push beyond traditional boundaries and rediscover creative freedom.
Nature remains his constant source, offering infinite inspiration to be altered, refined, and reimagined through abstraction.
