The Allium Lamp

Softly glowing and quietly futuristic, the Allium Lamp explores light, transparency, and form through Wooj Design’s distinctive approach to 3D printing. Designed by Christopher Merchant, the lamp reveals a hidden onion-like inner layer that subtly emerges depending on the angle and light — a sculptural detail that gives the piece its name.

The layered effect is created through carefully tuned print settings that contrast a matte inner structure against a translucent outer shell, allowing the lamp to shift visually throughout the day. Equal parts lighting object and functional sculpture, the Allium Lamp brings warmth, texture, and a sense of curiosity into modern interiors.
